What it is: Remixes of post-hardcore and heavy metal songs to incorporate the bass-heavy and remix elements of dubstep. Mastadon, Suicide Silence, Cannibal Corpse are all favorite bands for Deathstep DJs to splice.

What it sounds like: Your favorite speed, death and otherwise metal and hardcore songs interrupted by the glitchy stylings of a dubstep DJ. We love the idea of listening to a song that was originally performed on real instruments and halfway through having it torn to wobbly shreds by a computer, making interplay between the metal guitar riffs and the incorporated bass effects even trippier.
